Hosting this year’s European show in Brussels reinforces World of Coffee’s continued growth as a leading global platform for collaboration, industry expertise, and trade across the specialty coffee value chain. Yannis Apostolopoulos, CEO of the Specialty Coffee Association, commented “As a city that sits at the crossroads of Europe’s institutions, cultures, and commerce, Brussels offers a unique and fitting stage for World of Coffee Europe.” He added, “The event has become a cornerstone gathering for the global coffee industry, bringing together innovators, producers, roasters, and professionals to trade, share knowledge, showcase new ideas, and celebrate the craft and culture of coffee.”

World of Coffee Brussels will celebrate industry innovation through the Best New Product Awards and Coffee Design Awards, and feature three prestigious World Coffee Championship competitions:

  • World Brewers Cup presented by Title Sponsor Brewista

  • World Coffee in Good Spirits Championship

  • World Coffee Roasting Championship presented by Title Sponsor InterAmerican

Each competition features competitors from around the world, representing their global Competition Body and local SCA Chapter. All competitions will take place live at the show, with the overall World Champions announced on the final day of the show.

The expansive Exhibition Hall will host more than 450 companies offering the industry’s most innovative and cutting-edge coffee products including two expansive Roaster Villages featuring 120 specialty coffee roasters from Europe and around the world. For the first time at a European World of Coffee Event, the show floor will feature the Producer Village highlighting green coffee producers, distributors, and small sourcing companies. Green Coffee Connect and the Producer Village are designed to create opportunities for coffee producers to connect directly with buyers, fostering relationships that support market access while introducing new buyers to the industry of green coffee sourcing.

Coffee professionals including roasters, retailers, buyers, producers, wholesalers, equipment manufacturers, baristas, and more will have the opportunity to discover new speciality coffees, meet producers and suppliers directly, and explore emerging trends in the global value chain. Industry experts will offer insights, education, and training to attendees including:

  • The SCA Lecture Series designed to inspire, educate, and motivate coffee professionals to reach their goals and expand their coffee knowledge. All lecture sessions are free to attend with a World of Coffee badge on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Workshop sessions will offer an interactive opportunity for participants to spend 2.5-3.5 hours learning a new skill from experienced professionals and trainers. Workshops focus on a variety of subject areas across the entire specialty coffee value chain.

Attendees and exhibitors will have multiple opportunities to network throughout the event including receptions, happy hours, and meet-ups. The Coffee Business Lounge will provide an exclusive area where commercial procurement professionals can relax, work, and host meetings throughout the show.
