Lecture Description
This lecture explores how shared export and learning systems can reduce sourcing risk while increasing impact, using Sancoffee’s Beyond Borders program as a practical case study. Rather than creating parallel or simplified pathways for small producers, Beyond Borders integrates them into the same export structure, quality standards, and learning processes as cooperative members.
The session will unpack how shared infrastructure, including logistics, quality control, compliance frameworks, and technical support, helps mitigate common sourcing risks without lowering expectations. It will also look at how collective learning, certification pathways, and long-term relationships contribute to greater consistency, transparency, and resilience over time.
By shifting the conversation from “supporting smallholders” to building robust sourcing systems, this lecture offers buyers, importers, and industry professionals a clearer understanding of how structured inclusion can strengthen supply chains for producers and buyers alike.
